The Research On Transportation Outsourcing Of Third Party Logistics Enterprise

Modern Logistics,as one of the advanced organizing method and managing technology,has been adopted worldwide,and it has come into a booming industry and the third profit source. With the China's entry to WTO,foreign logistics companies aim at China's logistics market and compete into it. How should Chinese third-party logistic enterprises response to this situation and cope with these overseas companies? Do the TPL invest all logistics function and operate it or outsource non-core business to other enterprise? For this issue, this thesis gives an answer as reference.For focusing on researching the outsourcing transportation of the third party logistics, so other outsourcings are not involved. In the aspect of study, this thesis introduces the concept, definition and characteristic of virtual enterprise theory, logistics outsourcing theory and third party logistics theory, analyzes the factors why the third party logistics outsource transportation activities to external transportation companies. The motivation is to lower the logistic cost, to strengthen the core competitiveness, to strengthen the flexibility, to reach the economic scale, to lower the operation risk, through the above research, we can prove that transportation outsourcing of the third party logistics is logical and necessary. As to how to manage the transportation outsourcing, writer thinks, the first, TPL should establish the proper organization structure and the rule based on quality management system documents; the second, TPL should select the transportation enterprises via the proper process, selecting principle and appraisal approach; the third, in this thesis, writer thinks that managing the transportation enterprises, TPL should contract with subcontractor in detail and train the relative persons of the subcontractors. At last, as to managing the transportation outsourcing activities, writer thinks TPL should do four works which are planning and organizing of transportation outsourcing activities, following up transportation outsourcing activities, statistics and evaluating the result of transportation outsourcing activities, quality improvement. At the end, writer proves that the treatise of this thesis is right via analyzing and researching a case.
