With the development of the ages, with the rising fierce competition in the market today, more and more enterprises have realised that the talented persons with professional knowledge and technical abilities are the most important precious resources. In order to scoop out the talented person's potential abilities, the performance management has already become the core of the enterprise's human resource management, and an essential kind of activity that a company must have. The performance management system designing is the premise and the core to build up the modern enterprise human resource management system. How to design and build up a set of scientific performance management system that matches the situation of China and need of strategy development of the enterprise, is an new but important topic to the local enterprises, especially to the insurance enterprises encountered with the rising fierce competition, which is very important and realistic not only in theory but also in practice.Starting from the basic theories of performance management, based on the valuation and the analysis on the problems of the old performance management system of the PICC Property and Casualty Company Limited, the thesis designed a new performance management system. The purpose lies in: with the PICC Property and Casualty Company Limited management system for researching goal , with the performance management theories directed, the thesis has carried on an systematical and complete analysis on the enterprise's personnel performance management and put forward a set of suitable management project, as well as made a emphasis on the establishing,the implementing and the improving of the performance management system of the insurance company.There are five chapters in the thesis, as follows:ChapterⅠ: Introduction.This chapter introduced the background,meaning,purpose,the structure and the researching way of the thesis, especially the related academic knowledge of the performance management.ChapterⅡ: Analysis on the present management condition of the PICC Property and Casualty Company LimitedIn this chapter, the writer completed three researching contents: firstly,introduced the basic circumstance of the insurance company,including the company's background,the structure,personnel' composing etc.; secondly, pointed out the problems existing by analyzing detailed on the old performance management system by the data of investigation and researching; Thirdly, found out the reasons of the problems mentioned above in order to perfect the company management system.ChapterⅢ: The wholely establishing of the performace management projectIn this chapter, the thesis re- designed a new system according to problems mentioned, combined with the academic analysis and practical experience mainly studied the purposes, the principles and basic processes of the insurance company performance management.ChapterⅣ:The counterplan of the insurance company's performace managementThis chapter is the key point of the full text, and also a difficult point for setting up a set of scientific and perfect performance management system. This chapter is divided into four parts according to the performance management system namely: the establishing, the implementing, the examinating of the performace management project and the application of the examinating of the performace management project. In the projcet establishing, the thesis mainly described the way,the principles and the steps of the two key principles of setting up the project, the nature fixed and ration fixed; In the project implementing, according to the section of unit and personnel, the thesis described the project implementing's principles, purposes, steps and ways etc.; in the examinating of the performace project,the thesis studied the methods, processes of the two kind of index...etc.; in the application of the examinating of the performace process, the thesis mainly pointed out the skills of feedback and the face to face talking.ChapterⅤ:The measures and the problems should be concerned about in implementing performance managementIn this chapter, the thesis forecasted some problems may emerge in implementing of the company's performance management project according to the company's practical condition and put forward the concrete the ensuring measures and methods to deal with.On the researching foundation of the performance management theories, combined with the insurance company'own characteristics, with the insurance company treated as the researching object, starting from each link of the performance management processes, the thesis made the suggestion of constructing the insurance company'performance management, and also expected the suggestion could provide some good advice for the national insurance companies both in theory and pratice.
