Along with the rapid development of economy and the continued progress of society, the status of insurance industry is becoming more and more prominent, and the competition is becoming increasingly fierce. As the largest property insurance company in Xinjiang, PICC Property and Casualty Company Limited Xinjiang Branch inevitably confronts the challenges coming from various aspects, and it is suffering from an unchanged market share these years, the cost is high. In the support of the subject of supervisor ("The development and application of credit management information system of the staff of PICC"), this paper made a thorough analysis of the property insurance market in Xinjiang in accordance with the classical theories of Strategic Management, and then put forward the development strategy as well as its application based on the actual conditions of the company. The purposes are to increase the market share and enhance its profit-making capacity, and to expand its influence and competitiveness in the market.The paper first made an intensive analysis and evaluation about the external environment of Xinjiang Branch, including its macroeconomic environment, environment of industrial competition and supplies and demands of industry, then summarizes its opportunities and threats with EFE. Then it made a thorough analysis about the internal environment of Xinjiang Branch, including its resources and power, and then summarizes its strengths and weaknesses with IFE. Based on the analysis of the above, by means of SWOT matrix and QSPM matrix, this paper indicates that the differentiation strategy is the inevitable choice of Xinjiang Branch. Afterwards, in the application of the strategic plans, the article put forward to develop the core ability of the enterprise and implement product differentiation, service differentiation and marketing differentiation tactics.
