The Study On The Evolution And Procreation Customs Of Hui Nationality In Tongxin Of Ningxia Province

For a long time, woman culture was not outstanding in Hui nationality's society. Women played an very important role in agricultural and daily life, they have been their families' important mainstays. Because of the long-time influences given by the Islamic and Chinese traditional cultures, women culture has not been prominent in Hui's culture. Man culture has been the principal part, whether in daily life or in religion life.Tongxin county is a very representative community in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. A lot of traditional generational conventions have been still existent in their community. The Islamic and Chinese traditional generational culture appeared in bearing ceremony in Tongxin. One-month ceremony is the most important observance, besides wedding ceremony. In Tongxin, the traditional culture has absorbed new cultural ingredients, the traditional generational conventions went around between the traditional and modernculture. Writer choose the representative community-----Tongxin as the case,used the literature and investigation materials, and tried to find the change of Ningxia Hui nationality's generational conventions. By analyzing all of the factors which led to the change of the traditional generational conventions, writer wants to find out the deep-seated connotations contained in Hui's traditional generational conventions.The field investigation is the main research method of this article which mainly depicted and analyzed the wedding ceremony, impetrating pregnancy, generational taboo, one-month feasts and religion educational conventions. By analyzing the case, writer considered that Hui women's generational conventions have changed rapidly, with the society's transformation. Tongxin county located in the multi-culture areas, so the traditional generational conventions have taken a great change.
