| In this paper, according to the origin and contents, the festival customs of Tu nationality are divided into three kinds of types: the common customs, the religious festivals and the folk assembly. Festivals contain the theory of knowledge of Tu nationality. And the festivals are the continuity of historical tradition, the development basis in future, the bridge erecting between realistic life and imaginary life, the embodiment of identification as an ethnic group and the stage of national culture. Education is not the reason that festivals come into being, but it turns into one of the results of festivals. The festival study integrates the protection of national culture with the adapting of new living style, in the specific period from nomadic nationality to agricultural nationality. Thus, it shows how the people protect their life. As a result, this study proves that the emergement and charges of some folklore activity follow with the factual demands of living and link with the ecological environment, the social relation, the mode of production and the understanding about value of life. Moreover, it explores how to combine the material civilization with the spiritual civilization closely and build a new harmonious social relationship finally. |
