Food is one of the survival essential factors in our life, and its quality is an indication of the situation of the economy and civilization in our country. The food industry have played an important role in supporting national economic development, and connected to the primary industry, secondary industry, and tertiary industry closely. This industry has entered a new era of rapid development in these years. This has been accelerating the economic development and the improvement of the people's living standards, creating more jobs and increasing our revenue. In future, we will pay more attention to the regional food industry and the development of food industry, so we make an investigation in the increase of food industry in Yangtze River Delta.The dissertation bases on the theory of economic growth, environmental value and industrial economy, using the method of input-output analysis and production function model, to discuss the interrelation among the Yangtze River Delta and others. We analyze the character and factor of food industry's growth in Yangtze River Delta deeply. The dissertation also analyzes the aggregation and structure of food industry's growth in Yangtze River Delta, discusses the character of food industry and the relationship among the region and others .Besides, the dissertation analyzes the factors which affect the food industry's growth in Yangtze River Delta by econometrics model. The research shows that although food industry have some advantages in structure and Economic benefits ,the gap still exist when compared with developed regions. The main factor that affects the food industry's growth is capital, labor force, technique, environment in Yangtze River Delta. Environment has become the dominant factor of production which can not be replaced in food industry's growth in the Delta. Technology progress is the chief factors which affect the food industry's growth in the Delta, and the growth pattern is changing from rough to tensive. At last, the dissertation puts forward the approaches of improving the food industry's growth in Yangtze River Delta on the basis of conclusion.
