The "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" proposed to develop the service industry, which is adapted to international situation, an effective way to enhance the synthesized national strength, but also to meet the needs of the people’s growing material and cultural. With the deepening development of economic globalization, our contact with the world economy deepening,creating more opportunities for service to participate in international competition and cooperation in the wider area, will help China accelerate transformation of economic development, and to further promote the great development of the service industry. Yangtze river delta is one of the most economically developed areas in China, is also the area with the rapid development of service industry. Analysis from the time and space Evolution of Yangtze river delta development of service industry and explore the factors that influence the development of the service industry, has an important significance to promote the optimization and upgrading of service industry of Yangtze river delta, and also be used for reference to the other areas to develop their service industry.Firstly, the paper analysis the time evolution characteristics of the development of the Yangtze river delta service industry; secondly, applying the location quotient of the development of service industry and Moran scatter plot, the paper analysis the spatial differences in the development level of service of 16 cities in Yangtze river delta, and using the factor decomposition method, from two aspects of technical effects and structural effects analysis the internal cause of service industry labor productivity change in Yangtze river delta.The result show that the technical effect is the key factor in the increase of the service industry labor productivity, while structural effect is very small; then, applying the gray correlation analysis model to analyze the six factors affecting the development of service sector and industry classification of the Yangtze river delta, namely the level of industrialization, the investment of human resources in service industry, government intervention, the level of urbanization, the level of economic development and opening degree,concluded that the openness and the level of economic development are the most closely two major factors influencing the development of service industry. For the classification of industry, the dominant factors vary. Then using the linear regression analysis model to further analysis the impact of the two dominant factors, concluded that the level of economic development impact on the service industry is stronger than the openness and development in the same direction with the service industry; and finally, proposed to raise the level of service industry development strategy from five aspects, namely, deepening the reform and opening up, strengthening policy support, training high-quality talents, coordinating regional development of service industry and urbanization process.
