Folklore tourism has already became an independent tourism type andproduct, and be favored by more and more tourists, as an indispensable part of culturetourism. However, the designing modes and culture information of folklore tourismcan't satisfy the demands of tourists sufficiently, and not in favor of the rapiddevelopment of itself. The reason is that there aren't systematic theories to instructproduct designing and organizing. Therefore, the author puts forward the concept offolklore tourism designing, and constructs the theory system of designing comprised oftheory base and designing mode, and makes a demonstration study in Luochuan county,Shaanxi province. The purpose of study is to supply some suggestion for theoryconsummation and development regularly of folklore tourism.The paper includes four main argumentations. Firstly, the author explains theconcept of folklore tourism designing, and clarifies the relation between exploitation offolklore tourism and designing. Folklore tourism designing is "to design the product offolklore tourism which can promote the culture communication sufficiently, make thetourists recognize roundly and respect the culture of destination, in the tache of tourismproduct exploitation, according to the type and quality of folklore tourism resource, andto organize scientifically the material tourism product and project in different forms." Itis the critical tache of folklore tourism exploitation. It belongs to resource exploitationof tourism exploitation.Secondly, the foundation of research on designing is to construct the designingtheory. The author proposes five theory bases of designing composed of folklore,cultural ecology, cultural commoditization, anthropology of tourism, cultural nativismand globalization, which root in folklore, economics, anthropology, and five principleswhich are authenticity, ecology, divergence, layering and branding specially.Thirdly, the designing mode is to put designing theory into practice and the choiceforms that can direct the folklore tourism designing. The author constructs the designingmode of folklore tourism. The mode consists of four parts, which are the designing ofdifferent original-ecology, period and type of folklore tourism resource, and designingof different degree of participating of tourist. They are independent as well as connectedfor each other.Finally, the author applies the designing theory and mode to Luochuan county,making a demonstration study. The author proposes the designing frame, designing of product system, and analysis of product of two main Scenic spots of folklore tourism inLuochuan county.The innovations include five parts. The first is the author explains the concept offolklore tousim renewedly and marks off five types of folklore tourism resources andfolklore tourism resource region, in the base of summarizing the production.The second is to propose the concept of folklore tourism designing, and explain itsmeaning as a critical tache of folklore tourism exploitation.Thirdly, to propose the five theory bases and five principles which root in folklore,economics, anthropology, in the base of concept of folklore tourism designing.Fourthly, considering the application of designing theory, the author constructs thedesigning mode of folklore tourism. The mode consists of four parts, which are thedesigning of different original-ecology, period and type of folklore tourism resource,and designing of different degree of participating of tourist.In the final, putting the theory into practice, the author designs the designing frame,designing of product system, and product of main scenic spots of folklore tourism inLuochuan county.
