On China's Water Resource Utilization And Sustainable Development Of The Economy Society

The rational use of resources is the basis of the sustainable development of the economy society. As an indispensable and important resource for human's existence and development, the rational utilization of water resource has become more and more significant and strategic for the sustainable development of our national economy, which is increasing rapidly nowadays. The research concerning the utilization of water resource are mostly from the perspective of natural science, which considers it as an engineering and technical problem, resulting in the inconsistence between the engineering solution and the social solution, and also the problem that the researches concerning economics, politics, management, and sociology lag behind in some social and scientific field like property rights, public policies and management mode. Problems do exist in the process of using water resource such as engineering technology, economy, social arrangement, and culture, which cannot be solved by any discipline alone. Sociology, an indispensable study area for the utilization of water resource, emphasizing particularly on social action, social relationship, policies, structure and variance, can carry on the study on the sustainable development of the utilization of water resource.This thesis focuses on the sustainable development of the utilization of water resource from the angle of sociology. Altogether five parts are included as follows:Chapter One General Introduction It focuses on the background information about the studies on sustainable development of the utilization of water resource both domestic and abroad. Also it presents the author's ideas and research methods.Chapter Two The relationship between the sustainable development of economy society and the utilization of water resource Firstly, it focuses on the theoretical basis of sustainable development, pointing out that the essence of the sustainable development is the harmonious development among population, resources, environment and economy. Next, the key is to utilize the natural resources effectively, and to transfer it to be a sustainable support for the development of social economy. Besides, it analyzes the notion of the sustainable development of the utilization of water resource, pointing out that water resource are the basis and one of the cores for the sustainable development of economy society.Chapter Three The problems that we face during our utilizing water resource in China and causal analysis The chapter points out that water resource in China have serious problems like shortage of water resource, pollution, disordered exploration and low efficiency of utilization. For one thing, the main cause is due to the nature. The total amount of water resource is rich but the amount for per unit area and per person is limited. The distribution of water resource for each region is unbalanced. For another, the cause is because of human themselves such as lack of positive interaction, no consciousness of saving water, the water management lagging behind, poor morality of environment and less effective configuration of water resource.Chapter Four Setting up new mechanism for the utilization of water resource to promote the sustainable development of our economy society It puts forward that new mechanism for water resource should be set up from the perspective of politics, economy and culture, i.e. setting up a new mechanism for sustainable using of water resource by way of economic compensation systems, mechanism of sharing information, perfecting property right of water resource, management with public participation and cultural management of water resource.Chapter Five Conclusion...
