In globalizing and rapid changing business environment, "strong leadership" is regarded as one of the key factors to drive business organization to grow, to innovate and to regenerate. However, some surveys indicate that the Chinese enterprises have a big gap between other business organizations either in the western developed countries or in other Asian countries, in terms of the manager's leadership level. Most of the Chinese enterprises don't have a systemic and effective leadership development approach at the moment. This thesis shows the research results on the construction of leadership development model and its applications, which are come from the studies on behavioral science theory and the author's business practice. The leadership model consists of eight core competencies,and reveals their logical sequence in terms of the development on them.Further more, this thesis addresses how to construct the leadership model and the approaches for leadership evaluation and development as well. The leadership model makes it possible that enterprises could evaluate and develop their managers' leadership level systemically. The business application of the leadership model proved its positive impact on the business organization.
