As an innovative topic,the study and application of PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge ) is attracts and retains more focus, Yet it is lag in best practices of project management. Best practices is growing in importance in the field of project management. An organization can continuous improvement by developing the skills and capabilities of every manager through best practices on implementation. PMBOK is just the basic knowledge and techniques to project activities, In order to meet or exceed stakeholder s need and expectation, An organization must improve their project management practices, utilizing the recognized best practices in project management and fully integrate project management throughout the enterprise environmental factors.This research is about a best practices of a special project, Tiandong coal-fired electric power erecter engineering which select from hundred of electric power engineering. The paper expect to pass the system analyze the construction characteristics of this engineering from comprehensively discusser the whole process of the project .All these processes, Include the progress management, human resources management, quality management, safety control, and procurement management. on the basis of that, establish a model to illuminates the project success as a function of many variable factors. Best practices has certain pertinence for its management method, different project only adopt certain adequate management methods can we achieve the maximal efficiency. We can gain a competitive advantage by implementing best practices ,And organize project management can becomes more and more mature through best practices.
