Regional Land Use Difference And Coordinated Development In Jiangxi Province

Regional discrepancy in land use is always a universal problem with regard to resource use, environmental protection and social economic development. There is obvious discrepancy in regional land use of Jiangxi Province as its natural factor and social economic development. Study on regional discrepancy of land use in Jiangxi provides a scientific basis for long-run forecast, coordinated regional growth and the overall planning of land use.The study frame is based on present data and social economic statistic material by combined with the theory of Regional Economics and Land Science and the former relative achievements, This paper analyzes the discrepancy of regional land use by single index evaluation and selects some single factors index which includes per capita cultivated land and constructed land. It adopts standard value and different coefficient change to illustrate the absolute and relative difference of regional land use in Jiangxi. It also classifies all cities and conties by per capita cultivated land and constructed land into different grades, gives the analysis of regional discrepancy in 1996, 2001and2004.Based on the analysis of discrepancy of single factor index, this paper selects a series of indexes to analyze the regional land use discrepancy of 91 cities and counties in Jiangxi on land exploitation, intensive use of land, and comprehensive efficiency of land use. It analyzes the causes of regional land use discrepancy of Jiangxi province.In view of rational understanding to land use of each city and county in Jiangxi province, this paper conducts integrated regions in land use, and divides all cities and counties of Jiangxi province into six land use zones. Finally, it indicates present situation of land use and characteristics of each region and promotes relative measures, which provides an important reference basis for coordinated development of regional land use.
