Research On Regional Economic Difference And Coordinated Development In Shandong Province

Since the reform and opening up, China has achieved rapid economic growth, but at the same time, economic differences between regions are also increasingly highlighted. Regional difference continues to expand, which is not only affect the sustained, steady and healthy development and will also a threat to social stability and harmonious society. Shandong province is a major economic province, as a microcosm of the country. Similar to other countries, there is a serious problem of regional economic difference. This paper on the research and analysis about regional economic difference tries to explore effective ways to reduce regional economic differences, which will help provide the reference for relevant departments to develop scientific regional economic development strategies and policies.This paper bases on 17 prefecture-level cities of Shandong province as research object. Referring to regional balanced and non-balanced development theory and regional economic coordination development theory, this paper has a quantitative analysis basing on overall situation of economic differences and combing with absolute difference and relative difference measurement method.Data shows absolute difference is still expanding, then this paper,through the reasons of history basis, natural geographical, economic policy, facilities level, human capital, and Industrial structure and urbanization level,analyzes regional difference, and also use exponential regression model to predict the difference level through collecting data on 2000-2014 for 15 consecutive years.Empirical analysis is done focusing on the factor of human capital, level of industrialization, marketization and urbanization rate. In order to effectively promote the coordinated development of regional economy in Shandong province, this paper puts forward relevant recommendations:Increase policy support and adjust layout; Develop and accumulate human resources; Take full advantage of talent in the Midwest; Adjust the industrial structure to promote the optimization and the upgrading; Promote communication and cooperation between cities; Speed up urbanization and the development of county economy.
