Anhui Rural Cooperation Movement In The Period Of The Republic Of China

In the period of the republic of China, on the backgroud that the cooperative movement has sprung up all over the country, the Wujiang town of he county was the first to launch the cooperative movement in Anhui province, and the central agriculture popularization committee and the agriculture institution of Jinling university participated in it directly. As a model of the Anhui rural cooperation movement, Wujiang rural cooperation movement was pushed forward greatly by the Nanjing national government. Wujiang rural area had established a relatively integrated cooperation system, whose cooperation career involved various fields of organization production transport and selling finance education and which was an integral reformation for Wujiang rural society. Wujiang rural cooperation movement made some contributions to the restoration and the development of Wujiang rural economy and provided a turning point to the modernization of Wujiang rural society. As a rural society reformation activity, Wujiang rural cooperation movement ended with failure in the resistance of the real environment. The government could not guided the cooperation movement to develop healthily by using the social resources and created a powerful external environment for the movement, the government dominated the controlling power of the movement by relying on its own administrative authority to make the Wujiang rural cooperation movement banded deeply with the government trace. The Wujiang villagers lacked the knowledge of cooperation concept and their own quality were low, the Wujiang rural cooperation movement was landed in a predicament during its development.
