Situation And Role Of Science And Technology Innovation Of Agricultural Scientific Research Institution

The Government of China pays much attention to the agriculture development. China's agricultural products supply has achieved the historical goal to swift from long-term shortage to balance of supply and demand in quantity and even over-supply in harvest year .The agricultural science and technology has played the crucial role in this transformation with the contribution rate of 40% to the agricultural GDP growth , and made significant fundamental contribution to the development of the agriculture and rural economy. Although we have made great achievements in agricultural science and technology, the level is still very low as a whole. It is very difficult to meet the requirements and confront the great challenges emerging after China's entering into WTO and the new agricultural development situation of China.The study, based on the innovation theories domestic and international, extensive collection of previous research results and relative materials, focuses on agricultural scientific achievements and compares with the different aspects on this issue of different research institutions, i.e. quantity, rank, and grade. The main purpose of the study is to analysis the role and current situation of the different research institutions in the field of agricultural innovation through comparing with their achievement awarded.The following conclusions are made in the study:1 The agricultural scientific achievements have basically reflected the different level scientific research institutions' advantages and characteristics.2 The numbers of national awards of different systems are unbalanced .which directly reflects the unbalanced development of China's agricultural science and technology.3 The overall quantity of the agricultural scientific achievements tends to drop down, which reflects unsustainable development of China's agricultural science and technology.Correspondently, the suggestions of the study are as follows:1 To clear up the direction and the goals of the agricultural science and technology development and definite the key points of agricultural science and technology innovation2 To stick on the all-round consideration, make full use of the different research institution's capacity and advantage in the agricultural science and technology innovation3 To establish the new agricultural science and technology innovation system and provide advanced service to fulfill the objectives of the system4 To increase investment on agricultural scientific research, and provide abundant fund for the agricultural science and the technology innovation.5 To strengthen capacity building of agricultural science and technology innovation system and provide human resources support for the agricultural science and technology innovation.
