Study On The Development Of Sugar Beet Industry In Heilongjiang Province

Sugar beet industry is the superior industry in Heilongjiang Province, according to the impact of the global market, the development of sugar beet industry is pacing up and down. Recently, with the main trend of rising price of sugar, the Heilongjiang sugar beet industry gets its new opportunity of development, especially following the structural readjustment of sugar industry, the regional layout was optimized, and the ability of sugar product was cut down. In this situation, Heilongjiang, as the leading region of sugar beet production, it is an important subject how to adapt the need of market, grasp the opportunity, get rid of the difficult position, and maintain sustainable development.In this paper, according to the investigation of developmental history and the present situation in Heilongjiang sugar industry, the influence to Heilongjiang sugar industry after China's Entry into WTO was analyzed, the main problems existing in development of Heilongjiang sugar industry were found. Based on the actuality and the explanation of natural and social economic development advantage in Heilongjiang sugar industry, using two model regions as example, according to investigation and analysis of relevant data, comparing the economic benefit between sugar beet and other crops, it is concluded that the economic benefit of planting sugar beet is higher than planting other crops, meanwhile dissects the major elements affecting economic benefit of the sugar beet cropper. This paper gives the train of thoughts and the way to deal with the development in sugar beet planting, sugar beet seed industry and sugar industry of sugar beet. Benefit from other nations' experience in management and production technology, according to the actual status in Heilongjiang, so it is necessary to establish supervisory management mechanism and production operations system suitable to maintain sustainable development in Heilongjiang sugar beet industry. It is important to fully improve the production efficiency in Heilongjiang sugar industry, increase the income of sugar beet croppers, enhance international competitive ability of sugar industry, optimize agricultural planting structure in Heilongjiang, and develop rural economy of Heilongjiang.
