| IT employees are main part of IT corporations, and their workaholism can affect their job-performance and work-satisfaction in different aspects . Therefore, finding out their workaholism degree and analyzing its effect to individuals and enterprises is of much importance to enhance their work-enthusiasm and work-performance .The target of this research is to explore how workaholism affects the body and mind of IT employees and thus help the organization administrators to improve their organizations'behavior pattern , stimulate IT employees'good motivation, improve the work performance and protect them from the harm which workaholism may do.By reviewing the related concepts, theories and contemporary studies, the IT Employee Workaholism Scale was designed in this study to probe into the internal structure of workaholism, examine the variance in demography, analyze the cause of workaholism and present some suggestions about preventing IT employees from workaholism. These analyses validated the hypotheses posed in this study. Its main research results are listed as follows:First, IT Employee Workaholism Scale has four dimensions: work impetus, work devotion, work relation, work control. These scales have satisfactory validity and reliability.Second, workaholism is a multiscale structural model of stabilization cross- multisample.Third, demographic variable can somewhat affect IT employees workaholism.At last, this paper analyzed the factors which may induce workaholism and put forward corresponding countermeasures. |
