Research On The Regional Economic Disparity And Coordinated Development In Hubei Province

Focusing on the regional economic disparities of Hubei Province , The thesis makes a deep and systematic study on the change process of regional economic disparities, its spatial characteristics, industrial structure, regional structure and their influence factors by using the qualitative and quantitative research, normative and empirical study, tendency and static analysis.The research discovers that: (l)the absolute disparities or the relative disparities of the per person GDP and the inhabitant receive has been expanding constantly from 1990 to 2004; (2)Looked from the spatial distribution characteristic, the economy level exists a distinct region centralized and the transportation skeleton line directive property, and displays a gradient degression characteristic from the middle area to periphery and from the central region of no relief to the north, west, south mountainous area; (3)Looked from the three industries, the influence of the second industry to the disparities is decisive, next is the tertiary industry, the smallest is the primary industry. The influence of the second and the tertiary industry is rising unceasingly, and the influence of the primary industry is dropping unceasingly; (4) Looked from the local decomposition, the eastarea of Hubei to the disparities is the decisive factor, the second factor is the southwest area, and the smallest factor are the central area and the northwest area.There are many factors that cause the regional economic disparities of Hubei Province, mainly include the natural foundation, economic basis, policy inclines, industrial structure, fixed asset investment, economical foreign degree of openness, quality of population, cultural idea, and so on. These factors have affected the economy growth of Hubei Province, and have caused the regional economic disparities become wider and wider.The expansion of the regional economic disparities can cause a series of negative influences to the development of the economy and the societ. The warning analysis indicates that the regional economic disparities of Hubei Province has been expanded since 1995, but the growth rate of economy has dropped actually, which has affected the entire economy benefit and the further enhancement of economy. If we are not strengthen the macroeconomic control, the regional economic disparities will continue to expand. Therefore, speeding up the economic development and carrying on the regulation to the regional economic disparities are extremely essential and urgent.The solution to harmonize the development of economy proposed here is as the following. Firstly, "Efficiency comes first, equaity at he same time"; Secondly, make sure of comparatice advantage, and stress on economy of its own characteristics; Thirdly, take "a - axis" development pattern as the instruction, optimizes the regional spatial structure; Fourthly, strengthens the regional cooperations of government, enterprise and folk, advances the integration advancement of regional economy; Fifthly, give more support to the backward, and reduces the regional economic disparities gradually.
