Research On Quality Management Of Cargo Shipping Of Domestic Small-Scale General Cargo Ship Companies

Quality management of cargo shipping is more and more important because it is related to the profit of each shipping company and satisfaction of the clients. In recent years, with the flourish development of small-scale general cargo ship companies, an urgently solvable problem that how to handle quality management of the cargo shipping is drawing their attention.This article studies quality management of the cargo shipping, and discusses that how to constitute a flexible, effective, practical, and relatively perfect system in the quality management of the cargo shipping depending on the characteristics of domestic small-scale general cargo ship companies and the requirement of quality management.The main perspectives are presented in the following:Firstly, I describe the current situation of domestic small-scale general cargo ship companies and the existing problems. Moreover, I point out the necessity of researching the cargo shipping quality management of the small-scale general cargo ship companies.Secondly, I introduce two theories of quality management-Total Quality Management and ISO9001-2000 standard. After analyzing and comparing, I consider that ISO9001-2000 is more effective procedure to improve the level of the cargo shipping quality management of small-scale general cargo ship companies in a relative short time.Finally, we have to constitute a system of quality management of the cargo shipping in small-scale general cargo ship companies, in order to improve its standard of cargo shipping quality management by the following measures: regulating the descriptions of the positions after identifying the positions related to quality management of cargo shipping; establishing the goals of quality management of the cargo shipping and sharing the duties of them with all the departments; identifying the work process related to quality management of the cargo shipping; constituting the...
