Research On The Method For Evaluating Large Science Popularization Activities

China's science popularization is inefficient as a whole. In order to solve this problem, one of the important measures is to establish a system for evaluating science popularization. This measure will promote the development of science popularization in our country.At the macro level, the science popularization evaluation has been implemented in recent years. The indicator system for evaluation has been initially established as well. The effect of science popularization in an area for a certain period of time has been preliminary evaluated. However, in the micro-level, the study of evaluating large science popularization activity which is complicatedly organized and managed is infrequent. This dissertation aims at solving this evaluating problem.To implement the evaluation of large science popularization activity, we should study on the evaluation model which is fit for the practice. And the model used to evaluate is theoretically based on the evaluation mode. Therefore, this dissertation begins with the study of evaluation mode and specific model. The study first defined the concept of large science popularization activity. This concept is of ambiguous nature, and it is difficult to be defined. But objectively, great distinction is between general activities and large activities. So, this dissertation defines it using the characteristics of large science popularization activity, so as to set base for the following study.Based on the concept of large science popularization activity, this dissertation discusses the essence of large science popularization evaluation. Because science popularization is of the nature of non-formal education and social welfare, this dissertation studies the evaluation mode using theories of the education evaluation and social common project evaluation for reference. This builds stable theoretical foundation for the following study.Based on the evaluation mode, this dissertation studies the specific evaluation model.
