CATXZ Corporation is a joint venture which is established together by the CAT group and the XZ group, mainly manufacturing the excavator. Because of the high market prestige , the market share is increasing gradually. At the same time,The domestic market space grows fastly. But, the present productivity is insufficient, CATXZ is unable to meet the market demand. This article is justly based on this question to researched improvement program on the production line.S0 that, Wo can enhance the company productivity.The paper consult massive literature material. First ,I analyze domestic and foreign the present research situation and the application situation about Lean production and 6σ. Secondly, through the questionary and the statistical process control, I has gone on the detail investigation and analysis about the running situation of the production line.The present main questions include falling behind procedure, unbalanced procedures production capacity, not matched production equipment ability, the unreasonable work scene and layout . Thirdly, To the question about the falling behind procedure, according to the production process optimization principle, introduces the domestic and foreign update research results, so that the production procedure and the process are improved. Fourthly, to unbalancing procedures productivity, relying on the Lean production method and the production cycle balance principle, I computed improved procedures productivity and each procedure workstation number.So each procedure productivity balances, the production process of the production line is optimized. Fifthly, to not matched production equipment ability, according to the Lean production method I design the equipment scheme project. Furthermore, to the unreasonable work scene and layout, according to the Lean production method and the 5S management, I design improvement project on the work scene and layout.Finally, the projects was tried to put in practice.I utilize lean production &six Sigma and the statistics process control methodto o estimate the improvement effect. The estimated result showed: the company productivity was enhanced from 12 upto 24 every day . The process productivity of 320C upframe was improved from Z=2.32σto Z=4.12σ.The process productivity of 320C carbody was improved from Z=2.24σto Z=4.1σ.The production cycle of 320C upframe was shorted from 17.88 hours to 13.37 hours.The production cycle of 320C carbody was shorted from 13.23 hours to 9.94 hours .In order to guarantee that the improvement projects can be implemented effectively, Iput forward the implement proposal.
