With the fast development of global trade, modern science and technology, logistics is playing a more and more important role in the economy. Since the end of 20th century, many provinces and cities have made regional logistics planning and built a great number of logistics parks in China. However, some specialists pointed out that "supply exceeds demand". Whether the process reproduction of manufacture enterprises and circulation enterprises or the transformation of traditional transport and warehouse enterprises and the construction of logistics infrastructure, what they promoted is logistics supply but not logistics demand. New imbalance is provided to the logistics market in which supply has exceeded demand. Developing modern logistics must cultivate logistics market and startup logistics demand. At the present time, there is no mature method effectively analyzing logistics demand. So the study emphasis of this dissertation mainly focuses on the impact of industrial structure and industrial distribution to logistics demand.Guided by logistics theory and thought method, through massive practical investigation, the dissertation seriously researches the relationship between urban industry and logistics demand on the basis of region economics, urban economics, industrial economics. Firstly this article introduces research actuality at home and abroad and narrates fundamental research achievement. On the basis of remarks, the relationship between urban industry and logistics demand is analyzed from two aspects. On the one hand, evolution rules of industrial structure are expounded. Then the article further studies the relationship between logistics demand and the industrial structure of different regions, different industries and different industrial configuration. The industry correlation of industries and logistics industry is analyzed by choosing input-output model. It also discusses the impact of logistics quantity, logistics transportation structure and logistics quality on the industrial structure. On the other hand, the spatial layout laws of industries are expounded. Moreover, the relationship between industrial distribution characteristic of industry, trade and high-tech industry and logistics demand is studied and the impact of logistics demand on the industry cluster. At last, based on the above study, Beijing is taken as the example to illustrate the conclusion.
