Research Of Software Project Management Model Based On SW-CMM

Software project management is an interdisciplinary of software engineer and project management. It is the application of principle and methods of project management in field of software engineer. Software Capability Maturity Model (SW-CMM), which is developed in these years, is definitely an important method to advance project management and quality management for the software enterprises.This thesis firstly analyzes the questions existing in the software enterprises of medium or small scale. By researching the Software Capability Maturity Model theory, it prompts a software project management model based on SW-CMM, which is suitable for the software enterprises in China. This model divides the project management procedure into four stages, project initiation, project plan, project implement and supervision, and project maintenance, and takes into account and presenting analysis of software project planning, requirements management, software project tracking and oversight, software quality assurance, and software configuration management, five sections of SW-CMM. This thesis also designs and goes into detailed stage of the software project tracking and oversight module, provides the measure model of the software project tracking and oversight in software enterprise's project management, which facilitates the GQM goal/question/measure method, tracks, forecasts and controls the procedure data in software development project with the help of EVA in practice of project development.Software project management model, based on SW-CMM, not only provides a firm frame to software project development, but also helps software enterprises promote SW-CMM level via project management and meanwhile establishes an example for software procedure improvement and software project management in software enterprises of medium or small scale.
