Research On Supply Chain Risk Management

Modern supply-chains have become growing complex, with many parallel flows of logistics and information in order to ensure that products are delivered with right quantities to the right place in a cost-effective manner. Due to the complexity of the supply chain, there exist great risks. The supply chain enterprises are interdependent, and must work in coordination. Any problem that occurred in any link would influence the entire supply chain. Based on current literatures, it is found that the available method is rarely to identify, assess supply chain risk (SCR) especially and systematically; it is lack of special and systematical way for supply chain risk management (SCRM).This article is divided into six parts. The first part dealt with the necessity and importance of SCRM and The second part introduced the related basic theories. The key parts, from part three to part five, analyzed the sources of SCR in detail on the basis of internal and external risks; then a comprehensive method was worked out to assess level of SCR, which combined the merits of AHP and Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation; finally discussed supply chain risks control method from the aspects of reducing the occurring probability and resulting losses of SCRs. Part six concluded the article and pointed out some further research.
