Studies On Development Of Agricultural Insurance In China

Nowadays, the development of rural areas in China has gong into a new era. The problem related to social security of farmers has became a key one. Especially with China's entry into WTO, it is more necessary for us to make full use of agriculture insurance to protect farmers' interests. Nevertheless, the present situation is that: agriculture insurance has been withering in recent years and it isn't equal to economic development in China these years. So, putting great endeavors in the research of management patterns of agriculture insurance has great significance in theories and practice.The purpose of the article is to formulate the ideal development patterns of agriculture insurance, which bases on the theories of insurance and economies, together with the development experience of agriculture in foreign countries and our country, and through the analysis of the causes and present situation about this issue.The paper elaborates the basic theories on agriculture insurance; analyses the causes and present situation about agriculture insurance development based on the theories of welfare economies; expounds and summarizes the main development patterns of agriculture insurance abroad. After that, elaborates four development patterns which adapt to our country. At the same time , the authorput forward to ideal pattern----leading mainly by our government, supplied withcooperation insurance based on the situation of our country. Apart from address this ideal pattern, the author also makes suggestion on institution arrangement and content design in order to the government can implement.
