Research On The Operation And Management Of Technology Business Incubator

Technology business incubator is a new kind of social economic organization which appeared in the U.S.A. in the fifties last century. It offers a series of services such as infrastructure, management supporting, and resource network for newly established enterprises, to help them grow up. The technology business incubator can promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, increase the employment opportunity, and promote the development of regional economy. Today it has already become a kind of industry with high payback. High-efficient operation and management of the business incubator is the key factor influencing its incubating efficiency and its development. Therefore, this paper regards the operation and management of business incubator as the research object, tries to analyze the problems in their operating and management, and puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions to solve the problems.Firstly, based on the basic theories of business incubator, the concept of business incubator and its operation mechanism are analyzed. Secondly, the operation mode of business incubators in the USA and Europe and some developing countries are studied to find their succeeds experience. Thirdly, three kinds of operation modes for technology business incubators in our country are analyzed to find the problems in their operation and management. Fourthly, the countermeasures and suggestions for these problem are put forward, such as changing the role of government in development of the incubator industry, establishing the rational profiting mode, forming the scientific entering standards, allocating incubating resources with mode of market, setting up quitting mode with multi-channel, and establishing rational governance structure, forming rational management mechanism, building management team and enterprise culture. At last, the practice of operation and management of Daqing Sunway IT business incubator with market-oriented operation and enterprise management is analyzed as an example.
