The 21st century is an era of knowledge economy, global economic integration and people oriented management. The crux for the competition in the era of knowledge economy is talent. The resource of talent is the first resource in the era of knowledge economy, besides it is also a critical strategic factor for the existence and development of an enterprise. The intense competition nowadays caused every enterprise to exhaust their bags of tricks in their attempt to attract excellent talent, such as promotion of welfare, emphasis of training, providing development chance and option policy. In such a struggle for talent, compensation is a significant factor since it directly reflects the value orientation of talent. According, how to generate compensation strategies, which can be matched with the development strategies of the enterprise, is an important topic for the management of human resources, especially for these mini and medium sized private enterprises, which are the underdogs in size, financing, and popularity. The dissertation, which takes a medium sized enterprise, HZ cooperation as a subject, with the instruction of modern compensation theory along with the practical situation of HZ, is attempting to study, analysis and optimal design the compensation system in HZ cooperation. It has a practical significance in improving compensation management of mini and medium sized private enterprises in our country.The study initially discusses the theoretical basis for compensation system design in HZ cooperation. Besides an analysis for its composing parts and function of its compensation, we also provide a brief introduction for the development process of compensation theory and theory of motivation which is related to compensation. Next, we present the factors which influence the compensation level of an enterprise, the principles for compensation design and the process for the design of compensation. Meanwhile, by the study of the actuality of the private enterprises in our country, the relation between compensation management and enterprises development is also probed, consequently we got our conclusion that the compensation management plays an important role in the development of enterprises. Then, we analyses the development condition, human resource condition and compensation status in HZ cooperation, generalize our experiences and find out our problems.
