An Empirical Study Of Logistic Standardization System In Guangdong

Standardization is the need of modern logistics industry. Standardization helps to standardize the logistic marketplace and enterprises, improve logistic efficiency, reduce the cost, join the domestic and global logistic industry, and promote the modernization of logistics. Guangdong is one of the biggest provinces in economy, but the standardization fails to satisfy the development of logistics. So the research on Guangdong logistic standardization system, which is basic for logistics, will make a great impact on modernization of logistics.This dissertation makes use of both theoretic and empirical studies. By reviewing the literature, the paper analyzes the development of logistic standardization in China and developed countries; with the data collected from government and more than one hundred companies related to logistics, the paper analyzes actualities, problems, and factors which affect the implementation of logistic standards; then summarizes opinions and suggestions from different organizations which are related to logistics; at last, the paper structures the logistic standardization system, establishes the imperative standard items between the nodes of the physical flow, and some pertinent proposals on establishing and implementing the logistic standardization system in Guangdong.
