Informationization driving industrialization is the basic strategy for the realization of modernization of China. Enterprise informationization is the principal component of informationization construction. Realizing enterprise informationization is the important part of this strategy. The realization of enterprise informationization is of great significance in pushing forward the development of social productive forces, promoting enterprise management and increasing the competitiveness of enterprises. With the efforts of more than twenty years, information industry of China has made much progress, which has improved the production capacity and management capacity of enterprises as well as their competitiveness. Practice shows that enterprise informationization is the important way to push forward the development of the enterprises continuously.This paper first discusses the implication and function of enterprise informationization. It also introduces the situation of enterprise informationization in foreign countries and the factors that restrict the development of enterprise informationization in China. Based on the present conditions in Daqing Fine Chemical Plant and the requirement in informationization construction, the paper gives an overall plan and goal for the informationization construction of Daqing Fine Chemical Plant. The key points is that the paper provides practical measures for informationization construction in six aspects: enterprise information gateway, office automation system, real-time data base system, advances control system, goods and material management system as well as monitoring system covering the whole plant. Finally the paper makes an analysis on the evaluation system for evaluating the operating effectiveness of enterprise informationization systems and provides detailed benefit evaluation in both evident and concealed benefits based on the practical conditions of enterprise informationization construction in Daqing Fine Chemical Plant.
