Positive Research On The Differences Of Regional Economy In Gansu Province

Expansion of the economic difference in region has become a serious problem, it impacts on the economy development and social stability, has paid great attention to it at present. Gansu province lays northwest area of China and its development level of economy is lower. In the course of economy development, it has the problem of regional interior differences. Expansion of economic difference in its interior impacts on the speed and permanence of total economy development in Gansu province, it also affects enhance of the level and realization of macroeconomic target.To begin with, author exerts six face including twenty-three indexes which relate to economy development, economy configuration, economy benefit, people living, project for basic facilities and the level of science and education, and analyses regional economics difference of Gansu province in 2004 form spatial angle. According to the economic development level of region, author divides fourteen regions into four kinds: the first kind includes Jiayuguan, the second kind includes Lanzhou, Jinchang, Jiuquan, the third kind includes Baiyin, Zhangye, Tianshui, Wuwei, Pingliang, Qingyang, and the last kind includes Dingxi, Longnan, Linxia, Gannan. Furthermore, author analyses four region's characters based on above sort.Secondly, author measures the evolvement course of regional economic differences recurring to the analysis methods of absolute and relative difference with seven year's data. These data involves fourteen region's twenty-three index. Form the measuring result, author draws a conclusion that the regional economic differences presents tendency which enlarges year by year.Thirdly, author analysis the cause of regional economic differences in Gansu province start with the nature, the position and the resources, the industrial structure, the marketability, the human capital and the social system and so on five factors, and analyses those factors in details by dint of correlative data and means.Lastly, author summarizes experiences on the regulation of regional economical differences in our country proceeding with necessarity and feasibility of regional control in virtue of developed and developing countrys'lessons. Furthermore, author brings forwards designs on harmony development of regional economy aiming at facts of Gansu province.
