Research On Partner Selection And Operation Mechanism Of Cooperative R&D

With the development of economy and technology, more and more corporations began to realize that they are hard to survive or develop in the market environment full of drastic competition only with their own power. Technology is the backbone and he key of a corporation. But the high-cost and high-risk of technological innovation restrict the development of corporations. So, cooperative R&D, as a new way of technological innovation, is being interested in. Cooperative R&D can share the cost and disperse the risk. It breaks the limits of resources and ability of internal R&D and make use of them in entire society.On the base of deep analysis of back ground and theory of cooperative R&D, this paper researched the problems of the establishment and operation of Cooperative R&D by the interrelated theories of economics and management. Different theories were introduced to support the necessity of cooperative R&D such as the theory of transaction costs, the theory of dividing and the resource, the theory of strategic management and the theory of the organizations. And, the organization forms of cooperative R&D were mentioned. This paper adopt the method of Analytic Hierarchy Process to research the selection of cooperation partner and provide the reference for the corporations. Concerning the management of partner, this paper proposed that the methods of system standardization and communication must be used at the same time. In order to promote the cooperative R&D carry out smoothly, the operation mechanism must be designed. This paper designed in detail the credit mechanism, the excitation mechanism, the harmonization mechanism and the examination mechanism. After that, the risks and the ways to avoid them are presented. Finally, the situation and problems of cooperative R&D in our country are introduced and the countermeasures are given.By the study of establishment and operation of cooperative R&D, we can grow on the cooperative R&D and understand the principles and relationships of it. Therefore, we can take measures on the establishment and operation of cooperative R&D in order to promote it's successful expansion in our country. It is helpful for the corporations to adapt the international economic competition and to heighten their competence of core competition.
