Abstract/Summary:
Generally, the transportation cost is an important factor to constitute the price of raw materials. Lots of mines gradually adopt the pipelines to transport solid materials as an economical and efficient way for transportation. However, some pipelines for ore slurry, which have long distance, containing the characteristics of: the complex transport process, the high requests of technique, prices and operating costs affect the costs obviously, etc. It is necessary to demonstrate the project and optimize the process through the ways of experimental investigation, technical economical analysis and so on, to achieve the target of technical feasibility and economical saving. The article summarized a method to optimize the process through the engineering projects analysis. In addition, the type of technique in practical is still in developing, many users and engineers feel unfamiliar when they encounter these problems. The article indicated the common routine of optimized designs through the engineering projects analysis and systematical induction of related theories, clarified the methods of how to solve the practical issues by using related theories. The pipeline transportation process of long-distance solid material is actually a typical technical economy problem. The choices of technical parameters affect the economic benefits directly. The factors that affect the energy consumption conclude the parameters such as pulp density, friction head loss, diameter of pipelines, working velocity, rheological characteristics of ore slurry, granulometric composition of ores and so on. Some of the parameters are related to the early construction investment of pipelines directly. These parameters are inter-related and interacted under the condition of fixed volume. If one of the parameters changes, another will be affected to make adjustment. So the parameters effect for energy consumption and early construction investment is very complicated. That's the difficulty to optimize the process of solid material transportation engineering. The article indicated some important engineering experiences which have certain utility values, through sorting and summarizing two-phase theory and engineering practice. It provided some important ways for choosing parameters such as working velocity, resistance loss, transportation density and diameters of pipeline. It also analyze the internal relations among each factors, summarized the regulation of choosing the process parameters in conditions of different flow patterns like homogeneous fluid , pseudo-homogeneous fluid, heterogeneous fluid and so on. To get the economical effects for early investment and energy consumption which affected by different parameters, through contrasting the three designs which combined with practical projects. Indicate the advantages and defects for each case. The main achievement of this article is summarized an optimized way for long-distance ore pulp pipe transportation, through the technology and economy analysis for the three different transportation projects, choose the best one to achieve the design target which is not only able to raise the safety of technology, but also reduce the total costs of ore transportation reasonably. It provides referable and optimized technology economy cases for the similar mine pipeline transportation engineering in future.
