Agricultural Bank Of China Internal Control Problem Research

Agricultural Bank of China, one of the four major state-owned commercial banks, plays an important part of the financial system in China. The establishment of the bank listing on the Stock Market on January, 19th, 2009 made it in a substantive and critical phase. In recent years, the Bank has taken a series of measure in the construction of internal controls, including constant improvement and enhancement of internal control in head office and the branches of the Bank. However, the financial major crime cases and non-performing assets are still on the rise. Particularly, the treasury theft case of 51million cash in Hebei Handan Branch of Agricultural Bank of china shocked the world, fully exposing the insecurity of operation in the Bank, therefore in turn threatening the stability of the whole financial system and economic orders.Based on the Agricultural Bank of China as the research object, combination of theory and practical cases, fully studying the internal control theory and foreign commercial banks on the basis of the advanced internal control practices, this article studies according to the mode of "asking question-analysis of the problems-solving the problem". Firstly, a brief introduction to the development of the internal control of the Bank, and some descriptions of internal control factors, functions and relationship of the Bank. Next, a brief introduction to the basic situation of the Agricultural Bank of China and some achievements about the internal control system in the Bank in recent years. The third part focuses on the 5 aspects of the constituent factors of internal control, namely, control environment, risk identification and assessment, control activities, monitoring evaluation and correctness for investigation and analysis And finally ,targeting a sound idea of internal control of the Bank around the existing problems.
