| With the rapid development of the world economy and technology, the system that the construction projects involved with is becoming huge and complicated and this adds to the uncertainty of building products and their manufacturing processes. In order to minimize the uncertainties of the project, the management of the contact interfaces should be enhanced for the purpose of overall planning of the project construction, clearly division of responsibilities and tasks, providing an objective environment for project decision-making, regulating design changes to reduce the waste of investment, and guaranteeing the realization of project target schedule.Based on the basic theories of the construction project interface management, focusing on the problems of unclear division of contract interfaces and ambiguous definition of duties and responsibilities at the execution stage of construction project, this paper studies the factors that influence the division of project contract interface management, analyzes the reasons which influence the management of contract interfaces from the aspects of design stage, execution stage , execution subject and organization interface , degree of information openness etc. respectively. This paper tentatively proposes the control measures of the contract interface management, including scientific division of design interfaces, enhancing and carrying out the stage contract planning , raising the level of interface management subject , reasonable management of organizational interfaces , improving the information sharing via modern internet technology etc. countermeasures.Last is to take the Siemens Headquarters Building as a case to study. The construction project of Siemens Headquarter Building had a long construction period, sophisticated structure, huge system and multiple subcontractors. By taking effective control measures of contract interface, including properly breaking down contact structure, detailed tabling the division of contract interfaces, establishing and perfecting the organizational structure and defining the responsibilities, building a simple and effective information management platform, which not only clearly divides the contract interfaces, reduces the internal consumption, strengthens the management, but also achieves the great economic and social benefits. The studies in this paper will provide reference to the similar projects. |
