The Study On The Effects Of Foreign Direct Investment On Industrial Development In Liaoning Province

From the founding of People's Republic of China to reform and opening up, the economic development of Liaoning province ranks relatively ahead of many other provinces of China and the proportion of the secondary industry is big. It's because the inclination of the central government's policy and abundant recourse and its foundation. Since the the reform and opening up, the development of Liaoning province's economy is slow. Liaoning's GDP as a share of the nation's GDP decreases gradually.The purpose of this paper is studying the impact of Liaoning's attracting foreign direct investment on the development of industrial development since the reform and opening up. In order to revitalize the old industrial base of Liaoning province, there must be a lot of capital and attracting foreign direct investment is an effective means. Now foreign direct investment in Liaoning province regional mainly concentrates in Shenyang and Dalian grouped by region; mainly concentrated in manufacturing industry and real estate grouped by industry.Through the empirical analysis of the effetts of foreign direct investment on Liaoning province'industrial structure, the influence of first industry is negative; the influence of secondary industry is positive; the third industry is positive. Through the analysis of Liaoning province's foreign direct investment performance index and potential index, Liaoning coastal economic performance index and potentiality index ranks relatively ahead of many other cities.The theoretical basis of this paper is foreign direct investment theory and industrial development theory which includes industrial layout theory and industrial structure theory.The thesis is divided into the following five components, contents are as follows: The first part is the preface to introduce the background and significance of the research papers, and review the current research, and finally write the framework arrangement paper. The second part introduces direct investment theory and industrial development theory which includes industrial structure theory and industrial layout theory. Foreign direct investment has an important effect on industrial structure industrial layout. The third part introduces the status of foreign direct investment in Liaoning province, the status and its influence of economic and industrial structure. The fourth part introduces the effects of foreign direct investment on industrial layout of Liaoning province and then analysis the effect of foreign direct investment on Liaoning's economic coastal belt. The fifth part is conclusions.
