Research On Upgrading Of Industrial Structure In Liaoning Province Based On Foreign Direct Investment

After the international financial system suffered from a serious crisis, major economies in the word will have dramatic changes in economic structure. The recovery process will be accompanied by substantial restructuring and reform. In such a background, in order to withstand short-term impact due to these changes and seize new round development opportunity, Liaoning Province should use foreign direct investment positively, rationally and effectively. The level of using foreign direct investment should be upgraded in the quality,and the role of foreign direct investment for the promotion of economic development and industrial upgrading of Liaoning Province should be researched fully.From foreign direct investment perspective,this study analyzed the relations between Liaoning Province's foreign direct investment and industrial structure upgrading, as to the relevant theory and the role mechanism of industrial structure upgrading the basis. According to the annual statistical yearbook of Liaoning Province, after acquainting the current situation, general scale, country of origin, location orientation and distribution industries of foreign direct investment in Liaoning Province,each 1% increasing in actual foreign direct investment affect output contribution rate of the primary industry, secondary industry and tertiary industry by least-squares in Eviews software. With the economic development of Liaoning Province, the two lines about attracting and using of foreign direct investment are proposed. On the one hand upgrading of industrial structure should be carry out form three paths for the capital trade, productivity in order to optimize the configuration of producing factors, the demand structure, trade structure and upgrading of the technological structure tructure is necessary.On the other hand, the positive developments in agriculture, the strengthening technology innovation in manufacturing and the increased investment in modern service industry are to optimize the allocation of resources and upgrading the industrial structure.
