Research On The Economic Effects Of Foreign Direct Investment In Inner Mongolia

With the rapid development of economic globalization and integration, continually expanding of foreign direct investments scale had a tremendous impact on the development of the world economy and boosted economic ties of the countries more closely. Under this environment, many domestic and foreign scholars began to focus on foreign direct investment and got a deep research on it, hoping to find reasonable and scientific methods, to improve the effect of foreign direct investment.Inner Mongolia is located in the northern frontier of China, with vast land and rich natural resources. But because of its in inland situation and other objective factors, the economic development of Inner Mongolia has been very backward. Even it has made some progress after a long time of effort, but compared with the nation, there is still a gap. Therefore, in the booming circumstances of China's economy, how to make better use of FDI and play it's positive role, became one of the key problems to be solved in Inner Mongolia economic development.Based on this background, using related theory of FDI, this paper analyzes and studies on the Inner Mongolia economic effects by FDI systematically from the basic situation of Inner Mongolia. We can make a conclusion from the research:the utilization of foreign direct investment in Inner Mongolia produced a certain positive impact on economic growth, industrial structure adjustment, import and export trade as well as employment, but on the whole the effect is small. According to the current status and problems existing in the utilization of Inner Mongolia FDI, the author proposed some corresponding countermeasures and Suggestions. This paper holds that Inner Mongolia should improve the policy of the investment mechanism, improve the investment environment, enhance the attraction of Inner Mongolia; expand the scale of capital investment as well as improve the level; adjust the flow of foreign direct investment, optimize the industry structure and regional distribution structure of the utilization of FDI.
