| While entering the 21st Century, along with the fast growth of information technologies, especially for the computer technologies, the management skills and concepts of human beings are updated quickly.3rd party logistics is initiated that should be based on the above requirements. It is in line with the requirement of those companies, which are specific and keep on changing. It also integrates the in-bound and out-bound logistics and improves the logistics service. Moreover,3PL service strengthens the overall coordination and control of supply chain and gains the best effect for supply chain integration.To remain successful in the stage of competition, companies need to develop their own core competencies accordingly to their specific characteristics. According to the theory of supply chain management, the company should put its main efforts into the core business and outsource those un-core ones.The text made use of the supply chain management theories, and thesis explores the activities in Johnson & Johnson Medical Ltd. for 3PL outsourcing.
