Research On The Developing Of Urban Industry In Chengguan District Of Lanzhou

Urban industry is an inevitable choice when the city develops to a certain stage.Urban industrial characterizes by occupying a small area, low consumption of resources and less environmental pollution and so on. It coordinates with urban function and ecological environment. It provides a large number of employment opportunities and is also an environmental protection industry. With the quickening of the process of industrialization, urbanization, city internal contradictions such as population expansion, the problem of traffic congestion and pollution of the environment, the tension of construction land in Chengguan District of Lanzhou city are increasingly prominent. At the same time, the third industry rapidly expands whereas industrial economy has atrophied year by year. Urban industry is an inevitable choice, which can prevent " industry hollow", strengthen regional economic strength, and realize the sustainable development of economy.This paper adopts qualitative and quantitative method. First, through literature survey and analysis, clear background significance and main content framework. Then, through investigation, by adopting structural analysis, comparative analysis, Weighting combination, and many kinds of quantitative analysis method such as shift-share analysis and so on, further clear the development status of the study area, analyze the necessity and feasibility of developing urban industry.Finally, through the abstract summed up, put forward urban industrial development strategy, and provide feasibility study suggestion for the development of urban industry in Chengguan District.This paper is divided into seven chapters:the first, second chapter expound the concept of urban industry and the related theory foundation, and summary practice and experience of developing urban industry in some domestic and foreign cities. Based on the analysis of the general situation of study area, urban industrial development strategy and main point of park development are put forward for Chengguan District of Lanzhou city in chapter 3,4,5. The sixth chapter puts forward the security measures that guarantee the smooth development of the implementation of metropolis industry in Chengguan District. Chapter 7, based on the study of in front, summaries the main conclusions of this paper, and proposes research limitations and prospect.The results of the study indicated that:(1) Chengguan District is in late stage of industrialization development. The third industry on the contribution of regional economy is bigger. The second industry and the third industry are all growth industries with the industrial advantages and competitiveness.Chengguan District should develops the third industry as a leading industry,meanwhile the second and third industry intergrated development.(2) According to the current development status of Chengguan District, the form of urban industrial production should choose the printing, brand apparel processing, furniture manufacturing, recycling of waste electrical and other formats except for bio-pharmaceutical industry and food processing industries.
