The Research On Enterprises Which Moves From Shanghai To Lanzhou In 1950s

After three years'economic recovery from the foundation of the new country, the national economy obtains the radical better change, the industrial production has surpassed the historical maximum level. But our country was still a backward agricultural country, the industry level is lower than the developed country by far. In order to liberate the countryside's productive forces, develop the state-owned economy, and strides forward to the socialist industrialization, the country takes various measures to create conditions for the designed economic construction, "the first five-year plan of national economy" which implemented from 1953, confirmed the industrialization strategy that gave priority to the development of heavy industry.Due to the characteristic of vast territory, abundant resources, deep in the remote, northwest region became the key construction area in the first five-year's period. The 156 items which supported by the Soviet Union, have 33 items in northwest distribution, they are 22% of the total project. There are 8 items in Lanzhou. Lanzhou established as one of the eight heavy-industrial-district center of raw material & energy, the whole city entered the new developing period. To the history reason, the infrastructure construction and the business are little developed. It is not matched for the development of industry, which caused the heavy industry un-balanced. The production of Light industrial is hard to match the heavy industry construction and the needs of the people, so light industrial enterprise, commercial services are be badly in need.After the liberation of Shanghai, because of the external blockade and domestic consumption changes, industry and commerce once was down. Their funds and labor force needed to find new investment environment. Also, in the first five-year's period, Shanghai was mainly for cooperating production and the supplement of equipment. In this case, the country started to reduce the urban scale of Shanghai, and organized some Shanghai enterprises, persons to support the industrial construction of northwest.The enterprises which moved from Shanghai, have made great effort to the development of Lanzhou. They enriched the light industrial, commercial and service, provided the important guarantee for the construction of key industrial. Experienced the development of the planned economy & the market economy system, some enterprises reformed positively, and made great development; others declined with the impact of market. This thesis will summarize the evolution of some typical enterprises, explore the special path of northwest city's development and enterprise innovation, and provide some certain experience and enlightenment to the development of Gansu's economic growth.
