In the 21st century, our country is in the rapid development of urbanization. Urbanization means that the transformation the way of human life from rural to urban, including not only the geographic concentration of the population and non-agricultural activities in different sizes of urban, but also the geographic diffusion process of urban culture, lifestyles and values in the villages. At present, our country implements urban-rural dual structure in the land, household management, administration and other aspects, the urbanization is more performanced for the extension-type expansion of the urban population and size, directly leading to many discordant notes with urban development and construction——"Villages in city".Shanghai, as a thriving international metropolis, the same as the most developed eastern coastal cities in china, not only its urbanization process has its own unique development approach, and also its speed and scale of urban development is faster. In the process of Shanghai urbanization, along with continuously large-scale expansion of city construction to the suburbs and rural areas, also inevitably appears the phenomenon of "Villages in city", which not only undermines the image of Shanghai as an international metropolis, but also has brought many complex social problems to Shanghai Urban development. At present, Shanghai is actively prepared for the 2010 World Expo, all kinds of the governments are devoted to change the villages in city for the image of shanghai. However there are a special community living in the bottom, they are the important component of the social. If the villages in city are pulled down, the life and development of them must be deeply influenced. The theme of Shanghai World Expo "Better City, Better Life," which makes Shanghai's urban construction and planning put forward new challenges and requirements. How to make the theme of Shanghai World Expo be put into practice, and make Shanghai as an international metropolis show to the world a harmonious side? So I believe that the research of villages in city in Shanghai is an urgent task and need to solve timely.This paper selected Zhenbei-Yunling Block as an example, through field survey research, interviews, etc. to understand the attitudes and awareness of Villages residents to the transformation of village in the city, and go deep into understand their current living conditions and the expectation of future. On the one hand, hoping to enrich the research on living conditions of Villages residents, on the other hand, hoping to attract more particular concerns to the vulnerable groups like residents of the villages in the city, a more comprehensive, at the same time put forward more rational policies and proposals for how to deal with and treat vulnerable groups at the bottom of society in urban construction and development.The first part is the preface. First, it presents the backgrounds and significance of the research and have a simple definition of related concepts. Then it introduces and reviews the relevant theories and researches home and abroad. Finally, It presents this paper's research ideas, research approaches and innovations.The second part is the main body of this paper. First, it introduces the general situation of villages in urban of Shanghai. And also brief the process of questionnaire investigation. Second, it carries on the analysis to the questionnaire survey result, and shows that: the residents in Villages in urban lives poor living situation, is in the weak position of prominence, and at the edge of the city.status; residents attitudes to demolition and renovation are different, both of hope and fear, bring difficulties and challenges to future demolition and renovation; despite the villages in urban has a certain negative effect, but a positive effect can not be denied, especially to the immigrant population,it supplies them survival and development space and forms a certain socio-economic system. Then based on the theories to analyze the problem which the village in urban has. Finally, it puts forward several recommendations to the Reconstruction of the Village in urban:improve the land requisition system and homestead policies to address land rights issues; complete relocation and compensation policies to achieve the win of urban, economic and livelihood; to smooth harmony based, step by step transformation; provide flexible management services, sound management system.The third part is the conclusion. Summarizes the main conclusions of this paper and describes some of the author's following thoughts, hoping to transform the attention of future.
