Northeast Asia Regional Economic Cooperation

Under the trend toward global economic integration and regional economic groupings, regional economic cooperation has become the trend of the economic development of the 21st century. Throughout the world, countries in Northeast Asia have shown great potential in economic development, but regional economic cooperation among them relatively lag behind that of the the Euroupean Union, the North American Free Trade Area and other regions. Also, other negative factors that disturb the regional economic cooperation are intricate and comlicated, and they severely influenced peace and stability of Northeast Asia. Under such circumstances, this thesis discusses the regional cooperation, analyses the current situation and the affected positive and negative factors of Northeast Asia, and explores the ways to promote the regional cooperation of Northeast Asia. Centered on these issues, this thesis falls into three parts to expound itself.The preface introduces the purpose and the significance of the thesis and the status quo both domestic and overseas. The first part of the thesis mainly dissertates the economic cooperation status quo among countries in Northeast Area in three aspects. First is the introduction of the cooperation background of the main trading nations in Northeast Area. Second is the progressive development of mutilateral economic exchange. Third is the constant reinforcement of the economic cooperation and coordination under the macro background. Therefore, pemaily I think that the present development of Northeast Area coopration is very essential, and the realistic basis of cooperation is solid enough. The second part of the thesis dissertates the negative factors that influence the economic corperation in Northeast Asia. It begins with the hot spots and hot issues, and extends to diversity of the the economic development level. Finally it analyses the America factor, and comprehensively conclude several unfavorable factors that affect the peace development of Northeast Area. The third part centered on the economic and trade cooperation of China, Japan, and Korea, extends to extensive bilateral and sub-region economic cooperation as its core, and extends to the strenthening the political mutural confidence thinking angle. This part disscusses dynamic issues on how to promote the regional economic corperation in Northeast Asia The conclusion of the thesis:Although the regional economic corperation in Northeast Asia is restrained by a good many political and economic factors, due to the complementarity of each country on resources and economics, the earnest desire for the corporation, as well as the positive development mode, the regional economic corperation in Northeast Asia still have broad prospects.
