Edible oil is indispensable food in our daily life. With the rising living standard, China has been the world's largest oil consumer and importer. But the edible oil market in China is excessive dependent on international markets and full of risks.To find more about these potential safety problems that may exist, this paper has been studied from two aspects:Firstly, from the perspective of the international market, this paper uses the futures pricing mechanism to study the influence of Chinese oil market in the world edible oil market. Secondly, from the perspective of the domestic market, this paper builds the safety evaluation index system to study the safety of Chinese edible oil industry itself.The results show that China's edible oil market face lots of disks in these aspects:1) China is excessive dependent on international markets; 2) China is in a subordinate position in the global oil market; 3) China's edible oil industry is very unsafe.In order to improve the import security of China's edible oil industry, the paper gives some suggestions such as improving the oil reserve system and purchasing the pricing power.
