Evaluation To Service Provider Of Food Cold Chain Logistics

As people's living standards improving, the more importance of considering food safety, food cold chain logistics has been considerable development and progress. In view of the special requirements of infrastructure for the cold chain logistics, the proportion of outsourcing for the core businesses is relatively large to the extent. Then choosing a service provider of cold chain logistics is that must be considered to most food businesses.In the theoretical foundation of supply chain management, in the 21st century the competition is no longer a competition between enterprises, but the supply chain and supply chain. The implementation of supply chain management can reduce costs while enhance the business competitive advantage for enterprises. As the most important aspect in the construction of the supply chain is the evaluation of service providers. From the long-term development, the evaluation and selection for supplier will largely determine the extent of effectiveness when the supply chain running. So, how to choose a good logistics service provider is another problem.Therefore, according to the particularity of the cold-chain logistics, establishing a reasonable evaluation index system and selecting an appropriate evaluation method, then getting a scientific and rational evaluation to the company is a very interesting topic.This paper firstly describes the background and significance of the research and gives summarize of the evaluation index system and method for choosing the domestic and international supplier, analyses the strategic cooperative partnership between the enterprise and service provider under the theory of the supply chain management. Secondly, based on the results of previous studies and the index system design principles, this paper evaluates an index system establishing the level of service, level of hardware and software as the core part and also presents a quantitative evaluation methods. After generally analyzing the supplier selection methods existed and comparing their advantages and disadvantages, this paper gives an improvement to the BP neural network based on the method of the PCA and creates a supplier selection model through this net, then using the matlab software gives an empirical analysis. Using the BP neural network to compare with the former result, we can get the effectiveness and the accuracy of further improved methods. Finally, the paper gives a summary of the topic and the prospect to the future of studying.
