Study In Enhancing National Innovation Awareness During Constructing An Innovative Country

The Proposition of the strategy in constructing an innovative country was directed by two global factors. One is the upgradation of competitive elements. With the increasingly advance of global science and technology revolution, international competition advantages was not depended on the natural resources and labor costs, while science and technology innovation has proved to be the key factors of international competition, and the ability of independent innovation has become the core to win the competition. The other is the inspiration function of numerous successful modes leading and boosting the national development by innovation. In order to realize innovation and construct an innovative country with international influence, it is necessary to enhance the nationals'innovation awareness for the first, according to national conditions of our country.This thesis was including the following four parts. First, the restricting factors and potential advantages during constructing an innovative country in China was illustrated, according to the national conditions of our country and background of times. The central point to construct an innovative country is enhancing the capability of independent innovation, but enhance of the nationals'innovation awareness was the primary condition to promote the national innovative capability. Innovation is the soul of a nation and the inexhaustible power for the prosperity of Chinese Nation. At the same time, innovation awareness representes the soft power of a country.Part two:in order to construct an innovative country, the characteristics and definitions of innovative country must be explicit to define the measurement indexes of innovative country, compared with which the current situation and characteristics of our country could be analyzed. In this chapter, with taking the examples of the process and development trend of USA and Japan during the innovative country construction, the main experiences and typical mode for the innovative country construction was concluded:multivariate innovation, collaborative innovation and independent innovation was advocated and encouraged based on the breeding of innovation awareness and learning other's experiences, and provided an effective reference mode for our innovative country construction.Part three:Through the recent development of about 30 years since reform and opening-up, great achievements has been gained, but compared to those innovative countries, the "bottle neck" for science and technology still exists, and the insufficient innovation awareness has affected a further enhance of international competitiveness of China. In this chapter, the history of national's innovation awareness in our country, as well as evolution of science and technology have been investigated and summarized, based on the analysis of situations in politics, economy and culture, etc.Part Four:the approaches and corresponding methods to enhance the nationals' innovation awareness were discussed. A well environment is needed for innovation, and constructing a culture of respecting science is the basic condition. What we should do is to perfect the policy, regulation and education systems to form a well atmosphere for innovation, guide youth to bring up their innovation awarenesses from childhood and become useful members of innovative nation.
