Survey Of Assets Of The Landless Peasants In X Town Of Jiangsu And Its Implications

With the accelerated urbanization process, many farmers lost their lands, lost the most basic survival of subsistence, into the position of "no lands, no jobs, no minimum life guarantee and nowhere petitions". If lack of the necessary guidance and support, the group will be in a more vulnerable position, it will affect the social stability. How to achieve sustainable livelihoods for the landless peasants, is the inevitable requirement of the harmonious society.In this paper we know the asset of the landless peasants in X town of Jiangsu, on the condition of the current resettlement by using questionnaires and interviews, based on asset building. And analysis the changes of the asset influence sustainable livelihood of the landless peasants, The Economic capital unceasingly weakened, social capital somewhat loss, human capital and political capital situation is not optimistic, so that life of landless peasants is unsustainable. Because assets has active welfare effect, domestic and international experience also prove assets construction is the breakthrough to realize the sustainable development, only by using the assets building theory, to reconstruct of the assets of landless peasants, from the economic capital\social capital,\human capital and political capital to strengthen the asset building of landless peasants, it will realize the assets of land-lost farmers sustainable livelihood.
