With the competitive environment changing, China's economic development structure is challenged, how to walk away from the cost competition, and develop a "creation" mode, how to "changing the economic development and promote upgrading of industrial structure" has become a problems to be solved in China , fashion designers assumed a major force of independent research and development, how to stimulate the innovative capacity of the designer to ensure efficiency of design, how to properly assess the designer's role in business operations and improve the ability of the designer in order to improve business performance, how to promote the good relationship between companies and designers, and a series of such activities constitute an important part of design management. To establish a rational and comprehensive management system will promote the designer's enthusiasm and creativity, which can efficient the design management, and will do favor to both of the corporate strategic objectives and enhance the competitive strength.This thesis applies the methods of literature research and case study, including interviews and other research methods, combined with the author's experience of fashion design and business management, study and draw up the management system in line with the characteristics of design performance. In the paper, the author emphasizes the important role of corporate culture, explains the strategic of the enterprise, and then the author describes how to set departments, how to design positions, how to select staff, and what influence these will be effected. in this study the author states the job description and the designers'ability based on business strategy, draw up the method of performance management which suit for the fashion designers. At last the author came to the conclusion: Performance management is a multi-level perspective of management system, which includes:①To analysis for the company's situation and HR strategy;②To manage the business process;③To improve the development within the department;④To promote the ability of designers and assessment services;⑤To analysis the relationship between sales volume and market sales;⑥To co-ordinate the designers'career planning and business project management;⑦To evaluate both designers'performance and training management,⑧To analysis salary system and a series of management process diagnosis, these factors influence each other and promote each other, constitute an integral part of fashion designers'performance management.
