The family business for the first time appeared during the period of England industrial revolution in the 18th century. As the economic development, it has been the most universal type of business. The family business in China has played an important role in economic development after several decades development, there is no exception for Shanxi family business. The data shows that there are about 150 thousand private enterprises (80% was family business)in Shanxi at end of the 2010, and there will 300 thousand private business at end of the twelve five-year plan. However, Shanxi family business experienced the efficient management in early period. After entering into the large-scale operations, the Shanxi family business have many bottlenecks, such as talent shortage, financing difficulties, management mechanism backward, which need to be resolved through management innovation. This paper established family business management innovation fuzzy comprehensive evaluation models on the basis of the family business development and management innovation theory, and provided theoretical basis to Shanxi family business management innovation.As the beginning of this paper it describes the present international context of the family business and its managements innovation, points out the necessity and significance of management innovation in family business. On the basis of introduction of family business development and management innovation in the international and domestic, this explained the basic idea and technical research routes. Based on relevant theories at home and abroad, then the paper gives the definition of the connotation and classification of management innovation, and analyses the incentives and process of management innovation. Then it illustrates the definition, classification and characteristics of family business. The summarization of the theoretical basis in this part lay the foundation for later study. Furthermore, it theoretically analysed the management innovation evaluation of family business, and then primarily selected the evaluation index and conducted the factor analysis. Based on the effort above, the theoretical framework of family business management innovation fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model was built to evaluate and analyse the management innovation of the H company which is typical example of the Shanxi province. Finally, on the basis of Shanxi family business development process and the management innovation status, and the evaluation result of the management innovation in H company, the tactics and suggestions were given on the management innovation of Shanxi family business in this part. The tactics and suggestion are not only on the management conception innovation, management system innovation and management approach innovation in the business, but also including improvement of relevant policies and regulations of the external environment protection.In conclusion, this paper theoretically analysed the family business management innovation status and established the theoretical framework of evaluation model. Furthermore, this paper also analysed the Shanxi family business development and management innovation status, and conducted the evaluation of management innovation of the H company, a typical example in Shanxi family business. Therefore, it has the theoretical and practical significances to the development of management innovation in Shanxi family business.
