Study On The Development Of The Grassland Animal Husbandry Industry Of Maqu County

Grassland animal husbandry is the pillar industry, the characteristic industry and the advantageous industry of Maqu County. Maqu County has the great advantage and development potential in location, resources, policies and products. Currently, the rich mineral resources in Maqu County contributed to the development of its economy. But for underdeveloped Maqu County, the development of grassland animal husbandry means solve the issues of"agriculture, farmer and rural area"; eradicate the Dual Structure in urban and rural areas; speed up the progress of urbanization and industrialization; increase the income of the farmers and herdsmen; and it is only way to ensure the national economy sustainable development. Then, following are four questions that this paper needs to answer: compared with other areas in our country, does the grassland animal husbandry economy of Maqu County have its advantages? Which animal products are advantageous products? And where should these advantageous industries develop? What development model should be taken?This paper used regional economics, industrial economics, development economics and other related theories and methods on advantageous industry, using the experiences and results obtained in the past study for reference, and considering the practical stiation, this paper studied and analyzed the location advantage of the grassland animal husbandry and the animal product of Maqu County. The results showed that: the grassland animal husbandry and the animal product of Maqu County have not only certain advantages in Gannan Prefecture, but also the good market prospect and the comparative advantage in Gansu Province, and even in the whole country. Following the advantages in natural resource, location and policy, Maqu County can convert the resource advantage into industry advantage, and convert the industry advantage into economic advantage. Especially, the meat production, which has the capacity of dumping surplus product on outside the area, is the leading force in the development of grassland animal husbandry of Maqu County. To allocate limited animal husbandry resources to the meat packing industry which has significant economic and ecological benefits, and to form the industrial chain link, thus promoting the economic development in the whole area and increasing the incomes of herdsmen are the key point of regional planning and industrial upgrade of Maqu County. All the same time, all villages and towns form developing pattern that has regional allocation and specialized production according to its natural resources, location advantage and brand characteristics, building own characteristics, strengthening own advantage and building up own economic development coordinate system are important contents of regional development planning.How to develop grassland animal husbandry of Maqu County? According to the actual economic development of Maqu County, this paper advanced that advantageous industry development pattern of Maqu County and proved the feasibility of its application based on the advantage and resources endowment of the grassland animal husbandry and the animal product. At last, the paper put forward corresponding policy, and to provided scientific basis for regulating industrial structure and developing advantageous industry of Maqu County.
