Research On Academic Models Of The Talent Majoring In Exhibition

Exhibition has very important functions in information dissemination, economic transactions and radiation, culture education and others, and it can drive the operation of the related industries with the proportion of 1:9. As one of the three major exhibition cities in China, the economy of the exhibition of Shanghai is developed rapidly by the EXPO. With the development of the economy of the exhibition, it promotes the expansion of the education of exhibition, however, it has also led to some typical problems on the professional setting, curriculum arrangement, teaching design and methods in exhibition of professional personnel training mode. While Training Mode of the talent is the core of professional education and there are 32 universities which have set up exhibition major, so it not only has theoretical significance but also has great practical significance in research on academic models of the talent majoring in exhibition.The article is mainly based on the exhibition theory system, human resources and human capital theory as the theoretical foundation, with the method of data studies, survey research, case studies and comparative studies. It puts the professional setting, curriculum arranging, teaching design and methods in academic models of the talent as the entry point. By investigation from exhibition company in Shanghai, teachers and students of three universities, it is revealed that exhibition economic and the direction of management are fat more than others in profession settings, and practical curriculum does not match with professional characteristics in the curriculum arrangement, meanwhile the teaching design and methods do focus on theory. To solve these problems, it is compared with E University which gains experience in academic models of the talent majoring in exhibition and suggest that professional setting should be market-oriented, curriculum arrangement be modularization, teaching methods be innovation.As it is known to all, it is a complex research on the academic models of the talent, it needs to be adjusted with the needs of development in the dynamic exhibition industry, while the new problems would arise and the mode need to be refined and improved for further research.
